Visit The Bargain Loft for jewelry, books, gifts, artwork, pottery, silver plate, woodwork, non-upholstered furniture, antiques, collectibles, linens, small electronics, lamps, DVDs & CDs, cameras,  dishes, brass, glass, and household necessities.

Payment for purchases is accepted in the form of cash, personal check, and all major credit cards.

The Bargain Loft was started in 1981 as a volunteer-run thrift store selling household items, furniture, collectibles, and more. Profits generated by The Bargain Loft support the FISH Assistance program to help residents with short-term emergency needs.

​

The Bargain Loft staff consists of about 65 volunteers. Volunteer responsibilities are:

  • Cashier and Wrappers: work behind the counter ringing up and wrapping customer purchases; assist donors with incoming donations.

  • Pricers: sort, clean and price incoming donations

  • Electronics: clean, test and price electronics

  • Greeter: welcome customers, answer customer questions, rove the store

  • General Help: break down boxes, take seasonal items to storage, assist with incoming donations

General Guidelines for Donations

We accept:

  • Antiques, artwork, and collectibles

  • Books: novels, children’s, biography, cookbooks

  • Small electronics: small appliances, laptop & tablet computers, flat screen televisions, radios, vacuum cleaners, cameras, stereo equipment, etc.

  • Household items: decorative items, glassware, dishes, pots/pans, linens, curtains, lamps, etc.

  • Jewelry 

  • Luggage in good condition

  • Toys in good condition

  • Musical instruments

  • Record albums, CD’s, DVD’s

  • Women’s better label clothing, clean and on hangers (Talbot’s, Ann Taylor, Chico’s, Nordstrom, etc.)

  • Wood furniture in good repair

We do not accept:

  • Large appliances

  • Shower heads, shower massagers, or faucets

  • Baby items: strollers, cribs, swings, car seats, etc.

  • Bicycles

  • Window blinds or shades

  • Text books, reference manuals, or encyclopedias

  • Ceiling fans or hard wired light fixtures

  • Men’s or children’s clothing

  • Computers, monitors, printers, or scanners

  • Humidifiers or dehumidifiers

  • Metal desks or filing cabinets

  • China Cabinets

  • Exercise equipment

  • Upholstered furniture

  • Glass shelving, unframed glass/mirrors

  • Mattresses or box springs, bed frames, Headboards, Footboards

  • Large stereo speakers

  • Box style televisions

  • Entertainment Centers

Donations are accepted during business hours. For furniture donations, please call ahead to ensure we have room for them. Furniture can be delivered through our front doors. Household donations can be brought through our back door (located behind the blue recycle-trash can in our main parking lot). We accept donations that are clean, in good repair, and working order.

​

We also accept donations of nonperishable food items. These are passed on to the St. Anne's Episcopal Church food pantry.

​

Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

How Can You Help?

Volunteers are always welcome. You can donate one hour or more a month or even work seasonally during the winter holidays or summer holidays. We are looking now to train new cashiers and pricers in preparation for the upcoming holiday season. Learn More
